New color love…

11:49 pm by kim 34 Comments

Hi everyone!
Hoping you all had a wonderful Father’s Day!
I wanted to share this beautiful new color I found, It is a soft blue/green and I believe I’m smitten!

The color is whythe blue by Benjamin Moore.

The first time I found this color was over at Cottage &Vine. As soon as I seen Rene’s header with her gorgeous front door painted in this color I became a follower without even looking at the content of her blog!
I knew that this would be my new door color come springtime.

This is the before.
A classic black that looked great with my damask pillows and black accessories but a fresh change was needed.

The screen door is put on in the spring and removed in late fall. It’s painted white down by BM.

Here is a view from the inside.

I had posted about these new cushion covers I got on sale at pottery barn. They matched the new paint color perfectly! and these muskoka chairs need some good support when you’re sitting on the porch having a beverage.

Butters enjoys sitting out her with me in the evenings too.

My lobelia is coming along well and blends nicely with the blue/green theme.

This glass container is kept out here all year long. It lights up cold winter nights and lovely summer evenings in candlelight. I’ve  place it on this tree stump we use as a table.

So cozy and comfy!

So glad you stopped by!
Have a blessed day.

That colour is stunning. It's so very similar to the colour of my kitchen cabinets. Wish I'd seen those gorgeous cushions when I was redecorating-Great choice!

    Best wishes,

What a lovely color! Our front door is oak stain which needs to be redone. I'm thinking of paintint it red so it is visible from the street.

Your porch is so pretty and I love the hanging baskents of lobelia. What a great place to have a sip of lemonade.

Ohhh my goodness, it looks wonderful! I love that muted soft blue, and it's so cool how the pillows match beautifully. That is definitely one of those wonderful colors that the eye wants to rest on, and it's really nice with the color of the house too. Perfect choice!

Ahhhhh….so you discovered "Wyeth Blue",too, huh Kim?? lol! I stumbled across it last summer and it was instant love for me, too! It's THE PERFECT shade of soft gray/blue, isn't it? Not too blue. Not too gray. Two of the wicker chairs in my kitchen are painted with it, as well as a small wicker stool in my living room. It just goes with every color. LUV it on your door!! 🙂
