Farm fresh eggs…

2:53 pm by kim 25 Comments

Hi everyone,
hope you’re all enjoying your week and your summer!

Just wanted to share some pics of our farm fresh eggs!

We get them weekly from Svetec Farms here in Durham.
Paul & Jenny Svetec raise free range, grass and organic grain fed chickens for both meat and eggs.
You can really taste the difference!

I found these little ceramic egg holders at the thrift store for 2.99!
They look lovely holding my little eggs.

Couldn’t show you my farm fresh eggs without showing you who actually produces them!  Lol.
She is just one of the laying hens at the Svetec Farms.

Here is the lovely lady running around the barn, she was having a great old time!
Happy chickens produce great eggs.

Thanks for stopping by and visiting with me today!
Be blessed!

Will be linking up with these ladies this week:

Beach Cottage
Country French Cottage

I didn't know you were in Durham. We passed through there every other week on the way to and from our cottage in Lion's Head. I LOVE that part of the country. The drive was my favourite part. How lovely to have farmed eggs. City eggs are just not the same.!

Can't beat the natural beauty of brown eggs. We have a couple of laying chickens too – but do not live on a farm or farmette. Love having our own 'farm fresh brown' eggs.

How adorable your egg holders are! Does that chicken have the end of his beak cut off?? I do love the farm fresh eggs, they are the best.

Ooh, you are so lucky to have farm fresh eggs! My mom used to have chickens, and there is nothing like a fresh egg. They taste oh so much better than the market ones!

Love the ceramic egg holders!! We bought baby chicks so we could have farm fresh eggs any time; they won't be laying until late August. I can't wait to try the eggs!

    Nice pictures too!

Thank egg holder is so darn cute! I have always loved the colors of brown or blue eggs. So pretty.
It is wonderful to see more and more people buying organic and even local for you.

Your pictures are so beautiful, peaceful and calming. Makes me want to live a simplier life. I've been contemplating getting some chickens next spring. I think JoAnn Fabrics had those egg holders this spring. You may want to look for them next spring. They are so much prettier than cardboard or styrofoam.

I enjoy your blog, and {{{{love}}}} your photography. Can I ask what type of camera do you shoot with? I need to pony up and invest in a new one.

We have a farmer nearby in Rural Hall, NC that gives us fresh eggs too, and there's nothing better. BTW – Love the ironstone whites.
